As a Senior Research Analyst, Chris Peters provides data and research to help utilities with contact center operations, the customer experience, and marketing and communications. As part of his role, he writes reports, offers data-backed answers to inquiries, and hosts webinars and live presentations for E Source customers.Before joining E Source, Chris worked for a software-as-a-service platform where he created a help center and tutorial videos and provided in-app guidance to ensure a smooth customer experience.

Luke Beckett leads the engagement strategy for E Source’s western utility clients. As an engagement director, he ensures that utility clients maximize the value of their E Source partnerships while uncovering new solutions for their customer program, technology, marketing, and customer experience efforts. He previously worked as the product strategist for E Source Customer Energy Solutions, where he led strategic research and engagement efforts to help utility members exceed their energy program, emerging technology, and decarbonization goals.

Kody Salem provides outstanding support for utility technology initiatives such as smart grid and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, and outage management systems. Specifically, he leads all business development and partnering efforts for E Source’s technology planning and implementation consulting division. In previous roles, Kody managed the consulting team, matching clients’ needs with best-fit talent. And he provides his own subject-matter expertise for client engagements.

Nicole Naassan manages the fulfillment of E Source’s technology planning and implementation client project portfolio with a seasoned team of project managers and subject-matter experts. She has nearly 30 years of experience in the utility sector and specializes in operations and project management as well as utility systems deployment and integration. Previously, Nicole was the operations director for Constellation New Energy where she managed the operations and billing staff, realizing over $1 billion in revenue annually.

As President of Data Science at E Source, Tom is a key partner to E Source clients in demonstrating how data science solutions can help solve their challenges. Prior to this role, Tom served as managing director of Data Science at TROVE, and he led the implementation of new technology and analytics at PG&E to reduce the company’s operational costs, improve safety, and increase grid reliability.

Sara Patnaude helps manage and drive E Source's brand and content strategy, specializing in copywriting and editing. Before joining E Source, Sara was the content and event specialist for Energy Federation Inc. (EFI) where she led the strategy for the blog, social media, and collateral. She also planned logistics for EFI’s presence at all conferences and events. Sara graduated from Framingham State University in Massachusetts with a BA in English and communications.

Ben Nathan leads E Source's research and advisement to utilities on energy affordability and equity. He specializes in identifying and sharing leading strategies and fostering collaborations to assist utility industry clients in their efforts to better serve income-qualified and other vulnerable populations. Before he joined E Source, Ben worked at the US Department of Energy, US Environmental Protection Agency, and the National Renewable Energy Lab, where he assisted federal, state and local government, and tribal partners in clean energy planning and air and water protection.

As the data science director for E Source Oneinform, Will Gifford helps people turn customer analytics into tools. He joined E Source through the TROVE acquisition in 2020. For over 15 years before that he applied statistical and machine learning models to complex problems in the energy industry, helping utilities use the data that’s available to them. Prior to joining TROVE, Will worked at KEMA, which later became DNV GL, and he started his career at the Energy Information Administration.

With 20 years of experience in software engineering and system integration, Gareth Thompson specializes in developing and delivering integrated solutions for electric, gas and water utilities. He has expertise in systems integration; performance testing; and business intelligence analytics for advanced meter infrastructure (AMI), Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS), and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Gareth’s background also includes helping utilities with AMI field-testing to make sure that the piloted AMI technologies meet client requirements and service level agreements.

Mark Hatfield has 20 years of experience in utility operational technologies. His expertise includes project management, business-process modeling, requirements definition, business-case development, vendor selection, integration and implementation planning, system configuration, deployment strategies, and project audits. He has developed product roadmaps and project-implementation methodologies and is an expert at IT integrations. Mark’s specialty is helping customers acquire and deploy smart grid solutions.
