Rachel Reiss Buckley is responsible for working with industry partners to bring new tools and information resources to E Source members. Rachel manages new product launch activities, provides members with training and product support, and works cross-functionally to create roadmaps for future customer value. She is also a subject-matter expert in smart thermostats, demand response, demand-side management (DSM) programs, and energy-efficiency standards. Previously Rachel was responsible for setting E Source’s market strategy in the areas of energy efficiency and demand response, leading the research team investigating efficiency program design and technology selection at utility companies, and helping members leverage E Source research in their daily DSM activities. She has an MS in energy policy from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a BA in political science and environmental studies from Colgate University.

Utilities have significantly increased demand-side management (DSM) program spending in the past decade, but based on market data found in E Source DSM Insights, we expect overall spending to decrease from 2018 through 2020.
