Emily Sedlacek
Emily Sedlacek began working as an editor at E Source in the summer of 2022. Prior to joining the editorial team at E Source, she worked at North Carolina State University as a research administrator. In this role, she contributed to grant writing efforts and managed grants for several campus offices, including the Institute for Transportation Research and Education, the Data Science Academy, and the Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity.Emily also taught rhetoric and composition and worked in the writing center at Appalachian State University.
Jamie Wimberly
Jamie Wimberly has more than 25 years of experience in energy, working with leading technology innovators, executive teams at major investor-owned utilities and energy retailers, thought leaders, and regulators. His expertise includes general management and operational consulting, customer engagement and strategy, program and offering design, marketing and communications, and customer service.
Jordan Ellison
Jordan Ellison has more than 10 years of experience in market research where he has focused on customer experience. His skills include project management, survey design, survey programming, data management and analysis, and translating data into actionable insights. Prior to joining E Source, Jordan worked as project director at a market research firm. In this position, he oversaw transactional studies and managed relationship studies for clients across many different industries, including the utility, healthcare, financial, and lifestyle industries.
Jim West
Jim West retired in 2022 after a 40-year career in the utility industry. Most recently, he was vice president and chief customer officer at Memphis Light, Gas and Water—the largest three-service public utility in the US. Previously, he was the assistant general manager at Snohomish County PUD where he also served as the board chair for the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance and as a board member for the Alliance to Save Energy. Jim also worked at Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) for more than 20 years.
Mike Rowand
Mike Rowand is an energy industry leader in the transition to electric transportation, including the adoption of medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. For over 15 years, Mike has been on the forefront of utility research and planning for EVs. He has held leadership positions in multiple industry groups that influence electric transportation and distributed energy technologies.
Alan Herbst
Alan Herbst is a director at the Utilis Advisory Group where he specializes in the commercialization of energy technologies. Alan has a proven track record of developing value-added solutions throughout the energy value chain.
Tara Turch
Tara Turch, PMP, is a Certified Project Management Professional with 10 years of utility-specific project management and consulting experience. She specializes in project management, software implementation, requirements gathering, and business process improvement with an emphasis on advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) implementation and deployment.
Rick Hitzemann
Rick Hitzemann is an experienced senior leader with more than 25 years of project management, corporate IT, and consulting experience. He recently served as program adviser to Tacoma Public Utilities on its transformational $85 million advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) program, where he established a program governance structure and program management office. He also served as project manager for the business transformation and organizational change management (OCM) workstream.
