Sam received a BS in psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and an MA and PhD in psychology with a certificate in quantitative research for behavioral sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Deborah Lebl is the product director for the E Source Demand-Side Management Service. In this role, she sets the direction of and manages the entire product life cycle for the service’s research. Deborah has worked in the energy industry for nearly two decades. Before joining E Source, she worked at a major investor-owned electric and gas utility and at a pioneering demand response company. She has also spent years in various roles focused on marketing, market research, program strategy, portfolio management, customer segmentation, and revenue growth.
