Consumers Energy began its equity journey in 2018, and the team at the utility has continued to make it a focus of their work. Consumers Energy first focused on improving internal processes and language before shifting its attention externally.
The work to make communications, services, and offerings more equitable is always ongoing and constantly evolving. But Consumers Energy has taken important strides in building and sustaining an inclusive environment for its employees, customers, and partners.
