E Source is pleased to announce that Anne Pramaggiore, senior executive vice president and CEO of Exelon Utilities, is the recipient of the 2019 Jim Rogers Innovation Award. Pramaggiore leads Exelon’s six utilities: Atlantic City Electric, Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE), Commonwealth Edison Co. (ComEd), Delmarva, PECO, and Pepco. These utilities deliver electricity and natural gas to approximately 10 million customers in the cities and metropolitan areas around Washington, DC; Wilmington, Delaware; Chicago, Illinois; Baltimore, Maryland; Atlantic City, New Jersey; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Prior to her current position, Pramaggiore was the first woman to serve as president and CEO of ComEd, Illinois’s largest utility company, delivering electricity to more than 4 million customers in Chicago and Northern Illinois.

“We were absolutely thrilled with the number and quality of the nominations. Our intention with this award is to honor Jim Rogers, former chairman and CEO of Duke Energy and founding member of the E Source Advisory Board,” says Wayne Greenberg, CEO of E Source. “The nominations represent the best of the best in the industry—those who are driving utilities to be more innovative, environmentally responsible, and customer-centric.”

Jim Rogers’s son, Ben, will present the inaugural Jim Rogers Innovation Award to Pramaggiore during the awards luncheon on September 18 at E Source Forum 2019.

“Jim Rogers was a visionary who used his vast influence to move the industry forward, even when most of us in the industry didn’t yet recognize the need for evolution and transformation,” says Pramaggiore. “To say I am overwhelmed to receive the first award in Jim’s name is an understatement. I want to thank E Source for their recognition of the innovative work underway at Exelon Utilities to shape the future of the industry.”
