EMT Studies

Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) time domain analysis is a power system study that models fast transient events - switching operations, faults, and inverter control interactions - that occur in milli to microseconds and can't be captured by traditional RMS or PSPD (Positive Sequence Phasor Domain)  models. EMT studies from E Source helps utilities and developers understand how systems behave during these events, revealing risks that conventional planning studies can miss. Many ISOs now require EMT analysis for inverter-based generation and large-load interconnections.
