E Source Advances Cross-Hemisphere Utility Collaboration at 2026 International Wildfire Risk Mitigation Consortium Annual Conference

Utility leaders translate year-round peer exchange into measurable wildfire risk mitigation progress
March 22-March 25, 2026

HOUSTON, Mar. 6, 2026 – E Source, a leading advisory, solutions and consulting partner to the utility industry, will convene utility leaders from Australia and North America at the 2026 International Wildfire Risk Mitigation Consortium Annual Conference, taking place March 22–25 in Brisbane, Australia.

The annual gathering builds on sustained, year-round collaboration by accelerating the exchange of proven strategies that strengthen wildfire resilience and support safer, more prepared communities.

Wildfires are increasing in frequency, intensity and proximity to urban communities globally, creating urgent operational and safety pressures for utilities. Since 2018, the International Wildfire Risk Mitigation Consortium has facilitated cross-hemisphere collaboration among utilities. Managed by E Source on behalf of its members, the consortium enables participants to benchmark capabilities and strengthen mitigation strategies against this escalating threat. As climate volatility intensifies, the need for coordinated, data-driven action has never been greater.

“Wildfire risk is a global operational and safety challenge that cannot be addressed in isolation,” said Ben Silverman, director at E Source. “Shared learning and collective action accelerate progress across the industry. By bringing peers together to openly share what’s working, where gaps remain and how technology and analytics can be applied at scale, the consortium enables safer communities and stronger grid reliability.”

The four-day conference will feature peer-led discussions and expert perspectives, along with technology demonstrations and a field site visit highlighting coordinated vegetation management and fire mitigation practices. Hosted by Powerlink Queensland, the event reflects a growing international commitment to strengthening grid resilience through partnership and transparency.

Utilities interested in advancing their wildfire mitigation strategies and contributing to year-round collaboration are encouraged to join the International Wildfire Risk Mitigation Consortium.
