Each quarter in 2026, we conduct the E Source Utility Social Media Scan. The scan reviews utilities’ social media channels to gather information on:

  • Utility topics and trends
  • Content performance
  • Content quality and clarity

Our scan focuses on topics that are important in the current media landscape and helps utilities understand what is happening on social media, including how peer utilities are posting about and discussing these topics. We focus on gathering information on educational communications that advise customers about available programs without promoting one program over another.
