Energy affordability: SMB customers’ perceptions and utility messaging strategies to address concerns

February 22, 2023 | 9:00 am - 10:00 am EST

NOTE: This event has already taken place. See below for recording and event description.

Small and midsize business (SMB) customers don’t get as much attention from utilities as residential and large business customers do. But energy affordability is a growing concern for this group of customers. They want help from their utility, but they don’t know how to get it. Your SMB marketing efforts need to address these concerns directly, using channels and messages that resonate with SMB customers. But before you can make a plan, you need to understand SMB customers’ perceptions of affordability.

This is an E Source exchange. It’s an online conversation where attendees can share ideas about specific topics with other utility professionals. In this exchange, we’ll bring together utility peers to learn how SMB customers feel about affordability and share their successful strategies.

This exchange will cover:

  • SMB perceptions of energy affordability
  • Messages around affordability that resonate with SMBs
  • Ways to show SMB customers that you understand their needs and want to help
