McKale Carter

McKale Carterr supports utilities across the US and Canada in advancing demand-side management, distributed energy resources, and technology assessment strategies. He works closely with utility leaders to design and optimize customer-facing programs that enhance operational efficiency; advance regulatory, corporate, and policy objectives; and improve customer affordability. McKale uses E Source research, benchmarking, and advisory capabilities to provide strategic guidance on market trends, program design, and proven practices to nearly 100 electric and gas utilities. His work spans portfolio strategy and planning, emerging technology assessment, and practical implementation across diverse regulatory environments. Prior to joining E Source, McKale managed transportation electrification programs at the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), where he gained hands-on experience developing and scaling customer programs across TVA's seven-state region.
