Leading strategies for income-qualified weatherization programs

online event

NOTE: This event has already taken place. See below for event description.

Weatherization programs reduce energy costs for income-qualified households by increasing the energy efficiency of their homes. Weatherization also leads to healthier and safer homes by improving indoor air quality, remediating mold and asbestos, and addressing electrical and structural issues. But utility weatherization programs are chronically undersubscribed, reaching just a fraction of eligible households.
How might utilities and their partners rethink and improve their weatherization programs to boost enrollment and produce better outcomes for vulnerable customers? Join us to hear several utilities and their weatherization program partners describe their successful strategies.

Potential topics include:

  • How utilities and their partners are deploying effective weatherization programs
  • Creative funding and partnership strategies to leverage nonutility resources
  • Addressing “preweatherization” barriers that prevent participation in programs

Speakers:
Ben Nathan, Director, Affordability and Equity, E Source
