OPEN ONLY TO INDIVIDUAL LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, WHO ARE LOCATED IN THE ELIGIBILITY AREA AT THE TIME OF ENTRY, AND WHO ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. VOID OUTSIDE THE ELIGIBILITY AREA AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

  1. This Competition is open to legal residents of the United States (the "United States" or "U.S."). the District of Columbia, and Canada who (a) are eighteen (18) years of age or older, and (b) reside and are physically located at the time of registration, in the qualifying United States; Washington, DC; or Canada but (c) excluding the province of Quebec; the states of Arizona, Vermont, Connecticut, and Iowa; and all U.S. territories and possessions, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands; U.S. or Canadian Military installations located outside of the United States or Canada; or where prohibited, taxed, or restricted by law.
  2. Employees of E Source Companies LLC (E Source) and their families are prohibited from winning prizes.
  3. A team of independent judges selected by E Source will select up to ten videos based on originality, creativity, and content to be posted on the E Source web site. They will also select a grand prize winner; a 2nd-place winner; and a 3rd-place winner. The decision of the judges is final. E Source will also post the selected videos (the finalists) on its web site and will invite E Source members to review and rank the finalists. The E Source judges will make the final decision on winners.
  4. The video contest begins February 22, 2008, and ends May 23, 2008, at midnight EST.
  5. Consumer Discloser: NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY. The videos created by the three finalists will be posted and recognized on the E Source web site. The grand prize winner will receive US$2,000 and a roundtrip airline ticket for one adult to Denver, Colorado. The 2nd-place winner will receive US$1,000. The 3rd-place winner will receive US$500. A list of winners can be obtained by contacting E Source after November 1, 2008. To enter the E Source Video Contest, follow these rules, create and upload your video to YouTube.com, and then register for the contest (registration link removed). Send us the link to your video along with your contact information. If your video is approved, we will post it, which “officially” enters it into the contest. You will be contacted if your video is posted and sent a link to view it within our contest site.
  6. If your video is selected as a finalist, you will be required to provide your video to E Source prior to receiving your award. Details of what is required will be provided by E Source.
  7. Obscene, pornographic, violent, libelous, disparaging, or otherwise offensive material will be disqualified. The enforcement and interpretation of this rule will be at the discretion of the judges.
  8. You may only win one prize in this contest, even if you submit multiple entries that advance in the judging to the pre-finalist round.
  9. Winners will be notified by phone and/or e-mail and on the E Source web site.
  10. Prizes will be awarded to the individual who registered each winning entry. Winners are responsible for all taxes and any fees that may be incurred.
  11. The winner of the contest must supply E Source with legal name, mailing address, birth date, and daytime and nighttime telephone numbers. The winner must complete a notarized official application. Winner must present legal photo identification within 30 days of notification of winning the prize. Upon verification of ID and after E Source has received the final video file(s), cash winnings will be awarded by check mailed to the winner's mailing address within seven (7) business days. If verification has not been made within 30 days of notification, winner will forfeit cash prize and the prize will not be awarded.
  12. E Source reserves the right to alter the contest at any time. E Source reserves the right to not complete the contest and/or award prizes if the number of entrants is too small or the quality of videos (entries) is inadequate.
  13. By agreeing to the rules of this contest, you transfer copyright of your video to E Source. This will give E Source the perpetual right to use, reproduce, display, transmit, modify, license, and otherwise make use of your submitted video entry on its web site and in any and all media for any purpose. You will also be giving E Source the right to use your name, likeness, and location in connection with the video.
  14. You acknowledge that by submitting your entry, you are not infringing on the rights of any intellectual property owner, and that any identifiable person who appears in your video has provided express written consent to appear and passes along all rights for use of their name and likeness for whatever use of your video E Source sees fit.
  15. You hold E Source harmless from any claims of any nature arising in connection with your entry. E Source is not responsible for lost, late, or unintelligible entries; lost connections; miscommunications; failed transmissions; or other technical difficulties or failures.
