Light-emitting diode (LED) products that use new cooling strategies to increase efficiency and lifetime were just one innovation presented at the 2009 LightFair International Trade Show and Conference. Although LEDs dominated the scene, developments in fluorescent lighting, compact fluorescent lamps, and wireless controls portend greater flexibility in designing lighting solutions that reduce energy use.
