The Making of the 2011 E Source Holiday Card

Have you seen our holiday card yet? I think it’s pretty awesome (although I may be biased because I helped put it together). You might be asking yourself, “How did E Source get all of its employees together to sing?” Well, you start with some awesome employees, that’s for sure.

For this year’s holiday card, we really wanted to do something to show off our “E Source personality.” We came up with the idea of a video card, and I was off to the races.

Step 1: Assemble the troops by department. I stopped by each department and asked the staff to sing Jingle Bells. It took far less convincing than you’d think to get people to dress up in holiday gear and sing in front of the camera. I offered a big bag of props, turned on the camera, and said no more. They sang their hearts out, smiling all the way.

Step 2: Gather the entire company for the grand finale. We all went outside to our office parking lot for the final still image. Did you notice the snowman in front? It was a chilly Colorado day. Getting the letter-holders in sync required a little finagling, but it shows how well we work together as a team!

Step 3: Edit and compile outakes. Hopefully, you have seen the final version by now because you can only see the behind-the-scenes footage here. Check it out:

Your pals at E Source really like working with you, so we broke out in song as our gift to you. Thanks for your support! What do you think of the gift? Leave your comments below.
